Safeguarding
How we keep the people we house safe, and how to tell us if you are worried about someone.
Last updated: October 2026
Our commitment
Marsi Housing CIC is committed to protecting the people we house from abuse, neglect and exploitation. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and every member of our team and every volunteer is expected to know how to recognise and report a concern.
What we do
- Follow safer recruitment, including references and enhanced DBS checks for anyone working with tenants
- Train our staff and volunteers in safeguarding adults and, where relevant, children
- Have a named safeguarding lead who makes sure concerns are acted on
- Work with the local authority safeguarding team, the police and health services when someone may be at risk
- Listen to tenants, take what they tell us seriously and involve them in decisions about their safety wherever possible
How to raise a concern
If you are worried that a Marsi Housing tenant is being harmed, or is at risk of harm, please tell us straight away:
