Refugees and people seeking asylum
Stable, welcoming accommodation and practical help for people rebuilding their lives in the UK.
Who we can help
- Refugees who have been granted permission to stay and need to move on from Home Office accommodation
- People resettled in the UK who are referred by a local authority resettlement team
- People seeking asylum, where we can provide accommodation in partnership with the agencies responsible for their support
Who we can house depends on a person’s immigration status and how their accommodation is funded. Get in touch and we will explain the options clearly.
If English is not your first language
You are welcome to contact us with help from a friend, family member or support worker. Tell us which language you speak and we will arrange an interpreter for important conversations, such as signing your agreement and planning your support.
Help to settle in
Arriving somewhere new is hard. We help with the practical things first, then the bigger plans.
Your home
A safe room in a well-maintained home, with help to understand your agreement and the house rules.
Documents and money
Help with your eVisa, opening a bank account, claiming benefits and managing bills.
Health
Registering with a GP and dentist, and finding mental health and wellbeing support if you want it.
English language
Finding English (ESOL) classes and conversation groups near you.
Learning and work
College, training, volunteering and help with CVs, job applications and interviews.
Community
Connecting you with local community, cultural and faith groups, and activities in your area.
Planning your next home
Our aim is to help you move to a settled home of your own. We help with housing applications and bidding for council and housing association homes, explain your options in the private rented sector, and stay in touch while you settle into your new home.
